SP Winners and Losers (5 Mar)

SP winners:

May (STL) – 3 scoreless innings, one hit allowed. Velocity up significantly. IVB increase on fastball.

Eflin (BAL) – 2 scoreless innings, one hit allowed, 3 Ks with 6 whiffs on 40 pitches. Throwing alot more sinkers. Sweeper got 3/4 whiffs and velo is up across all pitches.

Pepiot (TB) – 3 scoreless innings. Did give up 4 walks though. Only 1 hard hit given up. Velo is down across all pitches.

Luzardo (PHI) – 3 scoreless innings, no walks and 5 Ks. 7 whiffs on 38 pitches. No hard hits.

Bradley (MIN) – 4 scoreless innings. Efficient. Only 54 pitches. 8 whiffs. Fastball velo is up 1.5 (97.3 mph), IVB up to 19. The curveball got 2/2 whiffs.

Imai (HOU) – 2 scoreless innings, 3 Ks and seven whiffs on 30 pitches. Slider got 6/7 whiffs! Wow.

Alcantara (MIA) – 3 scoreless innings, 4 Ks, 8 whiffs on 43 pitches. New sweeper got 1/2 whiffs. Zero hard hits allowed.

Bibee (CLE) – 4 scoreless innings. Efficient using only 46 pitches. No walks. More fastball and cutter.

SP Losers:

Ivin (LAD) – 6 ER in 3 innings. Allowed 3 HRs. Velo down across all pitches. 8 hard hits.

Manoah (LAA) – 5 ER in 2.1 innings. 5 walks allowed! Less fastballs thrown and velo is down significantly.

Castillo (SEA) – 5 ER in 1.1 innings. Looked flat. Slider got 2.5 whiffs.

Gasser (MIL) – 3 walks and 3 ER in 2.2 innings.

Lorenzen (COL) – 4 ER and 6 hits in 2.2 innings. Fastball IVB down to 12.

Gore (TEX) – 7 ER in 1.2 innings. 3 walks. 6 hard hits , 4 coming off the fastball. Threw more sliders and got 3/3 whiffs with slider. Velo is up across all pitches.

Ragans (KC) – 6 ER in 1.2 innings. 2 homers allowed. Only 2 whiffs. Fastball velo is up 1.5 mph (96.8 mph).

Burke (CWS) – 4 ER in 3 innings pitched. No walks. Less fastball and more changeup and changeup got 4/5 whiffs. Fastball IVB up to 19.
